What Can You Do?
If you feel as strongly about this as I am, here is what you can do to stop this measure.First, think about it: if Single Tax is implemented, your family might end up paying $ 1,000 - $ 1,500 more every year in additional tax. How much will you do to save one thousand dollars a year ? Please spend a few hours on this, it might pay off. At least, you can then say “I have done all I could to stop it ”- Spread the word. Email information about this web site to 10 or more of your friends. Make it a “Chain letter”. In the top right corner of this page, there is a small "share" button that you can use to email friends or put link to this site on your blog / twitter account. Add the link to calculator to your web site.
- Write to your elected representative. I am not sure whether they read their emails. Better, use paper mail. Send it to their constituency and parliamentary offices. May be, even use registered mail if you can spend a few extra bucks on it.

- All politicians want one thing: be elected and reelected. So tell them that:
- You oppose single tax unless it is neutral on your family budget
- In the next election, you will vote against them if Single Tax passes in its present form.
- Give them your tax increase amount calculated using this web page and demand explanations.
- Ask them why they not cared to explain that single tax will hurt your family budget.
